A Chef's Heart at the Estate's Center

The Villa Maris kitchen is no afterthought — it is the estate's living room, the gathering place, the heart of every memorable morning. Anchored by a professional Wolf range, a marble-topped center island, and a farmhouse sink overlooking the garden, it is a kitchen that inspires even those who don't cook.

Chef Rafael Orosco trained in the Basque Country and later the kitchens of Napa before arriving at Villa Maris. His morning breakfasts change with the seasons and with what he finds at the Marin Farmers Market — eggs from Stemple Creek, fruit from Blossom Bluff, bread from Della Fattoria in Petaluma.

Breakfast is served from 8–10am in the main dining room with its bay views, or upon request on your private balcony or patio. This is not a continental buffet — it is a proper meal, made with intention.

We Know Our Farmers by Name

Every ingredient at Villa Maris has a provenance. We shop the Marin Farmers Market weekly and maintain direct relationships with local farms, dairies, and artisan producers.

Stemple Creek Ranch

Pasture-raised eggs and heritage pork from one of Marin's most beloved family farms in Tomales Bay.

Della Fattoria

Wood-fired sourdoughs, naturally leavened pastries, and country loaves from this legendary Petaluma bakery.

Point Reyes Farmstead

For a truly unforgettable meal, Villa Maris offers private chef's table dinners in the estate kitchen for groups of 2–12 guests. Chef Rafael prepares a bespoke multi-course tasting menu built around your preferences and the finest seasonal ingredients.

Private dinners are available Thursdays through Sundays. Wine pairing with Marin and Napa selections available. Perfect for anniversaries, proposals, rehearsal dinners, and corporate celebrations.
